Simone ARMINI, musician

 

Born 1982 in Stockholm, Sweden. Graduated in Art, at Idun Lovén Art School of Stockholm. Lives in Reggio Emilia, Italy, were he works in Ray of light Atelier in The International Educational Center Loris Malaguzzi. As an artist he works on the social scene with intervention and participatory practices using a wide range of media. 2007 and 2008 he curated the site-specific project Habitat, which took place in the suburbs of the city.  As musician he composes music mostly based on field recordings, creating sound landscapes, with sounds captured from the city and its surroundings. Beside various projects with his group Historien & Horisonten and the fellows in Tona Serenad, he has made music for theater spectacles such as Tokyo with Cirkus Cirkör in 2004 and Un souffle, une ombre, une rien with Stultifera Navis in 2009; as well as the music for several short movies for artist like Anna Uddenbergs and Erik Hedman.
